ICT

In St Joseph’s we have a great interest in ICT and using ICT as an effective learning tool.

We have a class set of iPads and a set of Chromebooks for use by all students in the school. Each class has the opportunity to use the devices within the classroom every week. The pupils enjoy the various apps and games on the iPads/Chromebooks which help to improve their Numeracy and Literacy skills. The students in the senior classes also use the iPads and Chromebooks to compile projects and presentations on various curricular topics.

Due to our strong engagement with ICT, Oide selected our school to create 'Best Practice' videos which were shared with other schools across the country.

Internet safety is a top priority for us, and each year the senior classes participate in an Internet Safety workshop. Additionally, parents are given opportunities to attend similar workshops.
